Address: Scott Street Cavendish Vic 3314 The Old Cavendish Cemetery on the banks of the Wannon River was in use from 1849 through to 1922, it was the site of over 120 burials. A beautiful resting place but the problem is there are very few headstones remaining. http://westerndistrictfamilies.com/2012/11/08/old-cavendish-cemetery/ This now unused cemetery is at the end of a dead end street (Scott) and to access you walk through a paddock. Inside the cemetery is a sign listing who is buried there. The link above show it's existence, list of who is buried there and photos.
