Deceased Name: Maggie Watson Taylor
METTER - Maggie Watson Taylor, 88, died Saturday evening at Azalea Health Care after an extended illness.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, Metter, Georgia for over 60 years and a former member of the Naomi Sunday School Class.
Maggie was a great cook, enjoyed serving others and always had a wonderful smile.
Maggie resided at Magnolia Manor in Richmond Hill for five years before returning to Metter in 2009.
She was predeceased by her parents, Augustus and Adrienne Bazemore Watson, husband James Taylor, sister Beryl Farmer and grandson Jamie Gaultney.
Survivors: children, Judy (Luther) Todd of Shellman Bluff; Gail (Gordon) Lowe of Metter; Jimmy (Gail) Taylor of Richmond Hill; brothers, Gus (Carolyn) Watson of Metter; Buford (Corine) Watson of Farmers Branch, TX; sister, Laufane (Charles) Wood of Greenville, SC, 3 grandsons, 4 great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, Margie Sutton and Eloise Cowart both of Metter and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday January 11, 2011 at Kennedy-Morgan-Brannen Funeral Homes, Metter Chapel, with burial in the Lake Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday 5-7 p.m. in the chapel.
