The 1-grave Sanborn Cemetery (Meredith tax map coordinates R24-17) is located about 1,000' off the side of Chemung Road in back of some old farm buildings (original Sanborn homestead?) The 1 grave is that of Nathaniel Sanborn, 1737-1826, a Rev. War Vet who served 2 enlistments during the Rev. War with at least some of that time served in Capt. Elkin's Co. from N.H. Nathaniel Sanborn came to Meredith in 1783. His grave has a marker placed there by the Mary Butler Chapter (Laconia, N.H.) of the Daughters of the American Revolution (date?) and is surrounded by an iron-pipe fence supported by cement posts.
